How do I start planning my Portland elopement?
Why Should I elope?
Traditional weddings are expensive and stressful! Eloping in Portland is fast, easy, affordable and fun! Elopements are so intimate and you have more time to focus on the two of you instead of a huge guest count! Eloping also gives you access to a more personal experience in beautiful locations that are not always available to couples marrying in the traditional way!
We make planning your elopement easy! All you have to do is start by contacting us! We will help you pick a location, obtain your license and decide on flowers! Then you just have to show up and we will do the rest!
What are Portland, Oregon’s marriage requirements?
How many guests are we allowed to have?
Up to 10 guests are included in our base packages. Our packages are designed with intimacy in mind so that you are truly eloping in front of your closest friends and family (or just yourselves!). We do allow you to bring up to 20 guests for an additional fee! If you would like to have more than 20 guests, check out our micro-wedding package!
You must obtain a marriage license either in person or by mail in advance of the elopement ceremony. Here are the requirements:
The rate is typically $60, with an additional $5 fee to waive the three-day waiting period. Please see additional information on details and fees: https://multco.us/recording/marriage-licenses
What happens if my date moves?
What if we don’t have any witnesses?
Oregon requires two witnesses over the age of 18 to be present at your elopement ceremony. If you are just eloping with the two of you, our photographer can always serve as one witness for free. We can always bring a second witness with us and we just ask that you bring $40 cash for that person.
Please contact us to discuss setting up a new date and retainer. Retainers and date reservations are not transferable except under extraordinary circumstances. If we have availability on a different date we are always open to allowing a move.
What days of the week are you available for elopements?
How do we communicate?
Our elopements typically fall Monday-Thursday. Fridays-Sundays may be available for an additional fee. Please inquire about weekend dates as availability may be limited during peak seasons.
Once we receive an inquiry form, basic details are generally communicated by email. We then schedule a phone, Zoom or Facetime meeting to learn more about you and your elopement and to talk about ourselves and our process. Due to time constraints, we do not include face-to-face meetings with the essentials package.

Upgraded bouquets and add-ons are available at additional costs
You always receive a sneak peek with up to 10 photos within 48 hours of your elopement. You will receive all of your final photos within three weeks of your elopement date.
